Pharr, who lives in Victoria with his wife Brittany Pozzi-Pharr, competed in calf roping and team roping. He won the calf roping with times of 8.6, 9.25 and 7.4 in his three rides. The all-around cowboy win came from being the top money winner in the rodeo.
“I was actually pretty lucky,” Pharr said. “I didn’t place in the team roping, but no one won money in two different events. I was able to be the highest money winner in two events.”
The Dodge City Roundup is a Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association sanctioned event.
“It’s a prestigious rodeo and one that everyone wants to win,” Pharr said. “It was a tour rodeo which gives me points toward the standings.”
Pharr also has wins this year at the Will Rogers Stampede, Old Fort Days Rodeo and the Cattlemen’s Days PRCA rodeos.
