HOUSTON – Houston Baptist banged out six home runs Friday to down the University of Houston-Victoria Jaguars 20-14 in the first game of a three-game series.

Richard Orange belted two homers and Leo Delgado added his fourth grand slam of the season as the Huskies banged out 21 hits against six Jaguar pitchers.

The Jaguars (29-3), who had 11 hits in the contest, grabbed a 2-0 lead in the top of the second behind an unearned run and an RBI double from Leonardo Garcia.

The Huskies (19-22) quickly counter with two runs in the bottom of the frame before taking the lead for good with a three-run third.

Houston Baptist eventually stretched the lead to 16-4 before the Jaguars chipped away with a four-run sixth and three runs in the seventh and eighth to cut the lead to 16-14.

But Delgado’s grand slam with one out in the bottom of the eighth sealed the deal for the Huskies.
