UHV to hold sendoff for Jaguars softball team

The University of Houston-Victoria will be holding a launch party and brownbag sendoff for the Jaguars softball team today from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the UHV Center building.Jaguars fans can write personal messages to the team on official UHV Jaguars greeting cards while they enjoy cake, music and fun with the players right up until they leave for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Region VI Softball Tournament.
The public is invited to bring a lunch and celebrate the start of the historic first postseason with the players.
The Jaguars open play in the tournament on Thursday against Northwood University at 10 a.m. at Oran-Good Park in Farmers Branch.
