WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Annika Sorenstam’s comeback is real. And with her third victory in eight events this season, she also showed she can beat the new No. 1, Lorena Ochoa. The eight-time player of the year pulled away from Ochoa on Saturday, using her typical steadiness for a 2-under 69, then did the same to Jeong Jang on Sunday. Four birdies in five holes on the back nine Sunday left no doubt the injuries that led to her winless 2007 are behind her, and that her once-unrivaled game is almost all the way back. more >>
DARLINGTON, S.C. – Kyle Busch is NASCAR’s most hated driver. And he loves it. Viciously booed during pre-race introductions, Busch soaked up the venom by encouraging Saturday night’s crowd at Darlington Raceway to keep it coming. And when he heard a member of Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s crew jeer him as he passed by on the parade lap, Busch smugly flipped him the bird. more >>

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Paul Goydos doesn’t have a Q-rating, an endorsement deal or a top-30 finish in the last 16 months. Seemingly immune to the mounting pressure and a course getting tougher by the day, Goydos seized the lead Saturday with a 10-foot birdie on the island-green 17th and a great escape on the closing hole for a 2-under 70 and a one-shot lead over Kenny Perry. more >>

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Hot blasts of wind on a diabolical course made The Players Championship tough enough to turn someone’s hair gray. Not that the leaders needed any help with that Friday. The 6-under 66 on Thursday was only a great start.
