Osterson continues hot scoring streak

Mike Osterson has been bowling exceptionally well all month and last week was no exception as he tallied two 700 sets to claim the high scoring honors for the week.

Osterson rolled his high set during Thursday Sundowner league play with three great games of 250, 248, and 219 to tally 717. He was also on target with scores of 223, 244, 245 for a 712 and a 668 series in two other leagues.

Joey Matson edged out three other bowlers for the second high series with a 256 high game highlighting a 706 total.

Bowlers breaking the 700 mark were Darren Blohm 704, Mike Stacy 255-703, and John M. Szilagyi 703.

Other scores of note for the men were by Glenn Mason (268-252-696), Jack Kelley (678), Steve Dickinson (675, 672, 257-662), Mark Pahmiyer (668), Kim Blake (652), Bruce Luerssen (263), Larry Helms (256), and Tim Hall (254).

Judy Reyna was the only woman bowler to break the 600 mark last week with three consistent games. Reyna rolled games of 206, 212, and 214 to total 632 during Sugar & Spice League action.

Other good scores for the women were by Erin Faltysek (592), Kelley Felchak (242-578), Belinda Odis (578), and Shelly Szilagyi (577).

Vera Cruz Restaurant bowlers for the week were Jeff Myer 749 (Monday Mixed) and Judy Reyna 740 (Sugar & Spcie).

VUSBC meeting set

All sanctioned bowlers are invited to attend the Victoria USBC annual meeting to be held at the Century Lanes on Saturday, May 10 at 10 a.m. This is an opportunity to have your opinion taken into consideration on the best way to run our association.

The VUSBC board of directors will meet one hour earlier on the same day.
