Mark Pahmiyer edged past teammate Joey Matson to garner the high-scoring honors while competing at the Woodlawn Lanes.

As has been the case for most of the year, left-handers ruled the scoring in Red River League action with Pahmiyer rolling games of 268, 235, and 235 for a 738 series.

Matson set the pace in front of Pahmiyer when he blasted the pins for games of 268, 233, and 236 for a 737 total.

Larry Mikulec recorded his best series of the year as the Thursday Sundowners finished league play for the season. Mikulec smashed the pins for an impressive 717.

Mike Osterson also rollled great scores last week with two sets of 256-702 and a 671 to his credit.

Marci Boyd posted the high series for the women with a 226 game contributing toward a 591 series while competing in the Thursday Sundowners League.

Vera Cruz Restaurant bowlers for the week were Woody Lorance (741 in Sugar & Spice) and Megan Hotz (711 in Monday Mixed).

VUSBC meeting set

The Victoria USBC annual meeting is scheduled at the Century Lanes Saturday at 10 a.m. All sanctioned bowlers are asked to attend and have a voice on how to best run the local association.

Your attendance is important to make sure we have a quorum to pass legislation.

All VUSBC board members will meet at 9 a.m. on the same day.

Bowling on CBS

Bowling will be in the spotlight this weekend with CBS broadcasting a one-ball sudden-death rolloff on Saturday from 4-5 p.m. and a man-versus-woman contest on Sunday from 3-4 p.m.

Roll-off champions

Recently crowned league champions after a roll-off are Captain’s League team Woodhouse Day Spa with members Jan Husak, Martha Billings, Betty Tullos, and Carol Goode. The Turkey Trotters roll-off was won by the Fab Four with members Kimm Morris, Deanna Finnegan, Kathy Kuecker, and Whiz Adkins.
