CHICAGO — Former LSU standout Sylvia Fowles heard the rumors and was prepared to join the Chicago Sky as the second overall pick in the 2008 WNBA draft.
But Fowles was shocked Thursday when she heard fellow Tiger Quianna Chaney would join her in the City of Big Shoulders.
“I was doing an interview with somebody from Chicago and I heard that Q got picked and was coming to Chicago. I almost fell out of my seat,” Fowles said with a laugh. “Me and Q have been roommates my whole four years of college, so we’re close. Just to have her here with me will make things easier.”
