Gobblers capture 800 relay

AUSTIN – The Cuero Gobblers added a second gold medal Friday and moved a step closer to defending their Class 3A state track and field title with a victory in the 800-meter relay.Amand Avery-Green, Brent Johnson, Isaiah Glover and Stefone Hargrove clocked at 1 minute, 26.72 seconds to win the 800 relay. The foursome also claimed gold earlier in the 400 relay.
The Gobblers lead the team race with 62 points after 12 events with Atlanta following at 36.5.
