Rios wins gold at UIL State Track and Field Meet

AUSTIN — Runge’s Ninfa Rios won a gold medal on Saturday at the UIL State Track and Field Meet at Mike A. Myers Stadium.

Rios took first in the 300 hurdles with a time of 46.32 to win the Class 1A event. Michelle Fangman of Vega placed second with a time of 46.76, while Gordon’s Amber Elkins placed third after running a 47.97.
