Campbell finishes fourth in discus throw

AUSTIN — Memorial’s Justin Campbell just missed out on a medal. The senior finished fourth in the Class 5A discus throw at the UIL State Track and Field Meet on Saturday at Mike A. Myers Stadium.
Campbell’s throw of 179-09 fell just short of third place finisher Stephen Saenz and silver medalist Serville Dandridge. Saenz of Duncanville took the bronze with a throw of 180-03, while Rio Grande City’s Saenz (180-01) claimed third.
Humble’s Matt Koseki won the event with a throw of 193-09.
