Trout are good on scattered shell in six feet of water on pearl/chartreuse and strawberry/white Bass Assassins, Norton Sand Eels and live shrimp under a popping cork. Trout are fair to good at Hannas Reef on shrimp and red plastics when the wind allows.

WEST GALVESTON BAY

Trout are fair to good around Pelican Island on red, pumpkinseed and pearl/chartreuse Bass Assassins, Sand Eel Jrs, Trout Killers and live shrimp under a popping cork. Gafftop, sheepshead and sand trout are good on the beachfront on fresh dead shrimp.

TEXAS CITY

Trout and redfish are fair to good on live shrimp from the pier at the end of the dike. Gafftop are good on squid from the dike.

FREEPORT

Trout and redfish are fair to good and the backside of San Luis Pass on live shrimp and red shad and plum Bass Assassins, Hogies, Trout Killers and Sand Eels. Flounder are good in Christmas Bay on mud minnows.

EAST MATAGORDA

Trout are fair on the south shoreline on She Dogs, Super Spooks and roach-colored or pumpkinseed Hogies, Trout Killers, Bass Assassins and Sand Eels. Redfish are fair to good in the bayous, guts and scattered shell pads on live shrimp and Gulps.

MATAGORDA

Trout are fair to good on the south shoreline on pumpkinseed/chartreuse, black/chartreuse and pepper/chartreuse Bass Assassins, Norton Sand Eels, Red Killers and Hogies. Redfish are fair to good around shell reefs and grassy shorelines on cracked crabs, live shrimp and topwaters.

PORT O'CONNOR

Trout are fair to good on live croakers around the reefs of Espiritu Santo Bay. Trout and redfish are good in the back bays and reefs of San Antonio Bay on roach-colored plastics and Gulps.

ROCKPORT

Trout are fair to good on croakers and topwaters at Traylor Island, Mud Island and Cedar Bayou. Redfish are good on the Estes Flats on live shrimp under a popping cork. Trout are fair to good at night from the piers on DOA Shrimp, Gulps and glow plastics.

PORT ARANSAS

Trout are good on the channel side of the North Jetty on live shrimp under a popping cork and red shad Bass Assassins, Sand Eels and Red Killers. Offshore is good for kingfish, snapper, sharks and yellowfin tuna.

CORPUS CHRISTI

Trout are good on the Portland shoreline on Top Dogs and live shrimp under a popping cork. Trout and redfish are fair to good around Pelican Island on croakers, live shrimp and Top Dogs.

BAFFIN BAY

Trout are fair to good in the Land Cut on live shrimp under a popping cork. Redfish are good around Yarborough on live shrimp and mullet. Trout and redfish are fair to good at the Tide Gauge Bar on live shrimp and pumpkinseed plastics.

PORT MANSFIELD

Trout and redfish are good while drifting the flats on red/white and black/chartreuse plastics and live shrimp. Trout and flounder are good on the flats adjacent to the Intracoastal on live shrimp.

SOUTH PADRE

Trout are fair to good at Laguna Vista on live shrimp under a popping cork, Gulps and DOA Shrimp. Trout, redfish, sheepshead, croaker, whiting and flounder are good at the jetty on live and fresh dead shrimp and squid.

PORT ISABEL

Trout are fair to good at Twin Bars on live shrimp under a popping cork and Hogies, Trout Killers, Sand Eels and Bass Assassins.
