You are invited….

To an Event on Safe Digging and Excavation Practices
Presented by the Texas Railroad Commission

Who should come:
Anyone who digs or engages in excavation -- private property owners or professional excavators.

If you:
• Garden
• Farm
• Work in your yard
• Landscape
• Build fences, homes, buildings or other structures
• Dig or build pools
• Operate heavy excavation machinery
• Bore or directionally drill
• Excavate in general

• Are responsible for planning or designing of infrastructure for the city, county or state

This event is for anyone who engages in or supervises excavation activities.

Why you should attend:
Many people don’t realize that pipes, conduits, wires and cables are buried along city streets, highways, across the countryside and even in your backyard. These facilities can be damaged when excavation occurs.

The Texas Railroad Commission oversees the underground damage prevention program that seeks to protect underground facilities and the safety of those digging. The RRC requires certain safety measures be taken when excavation occurs. The meetings in Victoria will provide information and resources that will help ensure your safety and that of others while also helping you avoid potential fines and penalties.
