The 4th Annual State of the Prairie Conference will be held at the Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Center and Texas A&M Kingsville on December 6-9, 2012. This conference is hosted by the Coastal Prairie Partnership (www.prairiepartner.org) and Native Prairie Association of Texas (www.texasprairie.org/). The conference will have presentations and field trips to prairie remnants all over greater Corpus/Kingsville area. The focus is on the economics of prairies and prairie restoration, cattle production, restoration after oil/gas drilling and landowner rights, biodiversity, prairie wetlands and more. The event is for ranchers, conservationists, landscape architects, educators, naturalists, or anyone just curious about prairies.
