Tilling the Soil of Opportunity

The UHV SBDC is an approved provider of Production and Financial Management borrower training required by the FSA farm loan program. We offer “Tilling the Soil of Opportunity”, an FSA-approved curriculum for agricultural entrepreneurs. This course educates producers on managing production and understanding financial budgets, cash flow, and financial statements, and financing. We recognize the demands on the agricultural entrepreneur’s time and provide a condensed program.Participants receive a binder containing curriculum, worksheets, and an Agricultural Entrepreneur Resource Guide. Upon completion, UHV SBDC sends confirmation to the FSA that attendees have met the mandatory training requirement
Fee - $300 If an attendee needs further assistance with the curriculum or with managing their agricultural business; they may use the services of our Certified Business Advisors. Our advisors provide confidential, one-on-one counseling at no cost. Payment is required prior to the start of the training. Arrangements for payment by credit card can be made, please call us to arrange We also accept payment by check or money order (make payable to UHV) or cash.
