Palestine Missionary Baptist Church, 608 East Convent St., will have a service honoring Martin Luther King Jr. at 7 p.m. The service is sponsored by The Baptist Ministerial Union. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Vernon J. Garza, pastor of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. There will be others speaking about African American churches and education. Everyone is welcome.
