Holy Cross Catholic Church Annual Festival

Holy Cross Catholic Church in Yorktown is having its annual festival at the Yorktown Community Hall. Mass, with Polish music, will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the church. At 10:30 a.m. the country store and silent auction will open and lunch will be ready in the air conditioned hall. Homemade sausage and barbecue beef will be served with potato salad, coleslaw, dessert and drink, for $10 adult and pick up plates and $5 for children 12 and under. Lunch will close at 2 p.m. DJ Val Mungia will provide musical entertainment with your favorite polkas, waltzes and classic country music. At 11 a.m. the cake walk starts. The bounce house will open for the children at noon. Raffles tickets are $5 each or five for $20 and includes various gift certificates totaling more than $2,300 in prizes. The Knights of Columbus will be raffling off a Charolais bull calf, donated by the Bill and Nelda Jauer. The drawings will be held at 3 p.m. A live auction will begin in the air conditioned dining hall at 1 p.m. Many unique items will be featured.
