President Jimmy Goodson announces his retirement.

Dec. 2007: Victoria College announces it will use Executive Resources Consulting Services in the search.

Jan. 28, 2008: Presidential screening committee members selected.

Feb. 1 to March 31: Applications accepted.

March 4: Last day for the committee to review applications.

April 18 - 20: Eight semifinalists interviews by the committee in Austin.

April 21: Finalists to be announced at a special board meeting.

May 1: Retirement party scheduled for Goodson.

May 4 - 9: Three to five finalists will be interviewed in Victoria.

May 19: The next president may be announced during a regular board meeting.

July 31: Goodson’s last day as president.

Aug. 25: Classes begin for the new president’s first semester.

Adrian Cannady, vice president of marketing for the Victoria Economic Development Corporation.

Marty Domke, nursing instructor at The Victoria College.

Michael Hummel, history professor at The Victoria College.

Elizabeth Garza, administrative assistant at The Victoria College.

Patricia Vandervoort, vice president of instruction at The Victoria College.
