Editor, the Advocate:

I don't know if Victorians, notably veterans and their families, realize how fortunate we are to have a man like Dr. Peter B. Riesz in "our midst."

Riesz has given countless hours in researching and honoring veterans, both living and dead, from this area.

Beginning with his book "Victoria Veterans Talk," which he published in 2004, he has researched the backgrounds of veterans of both WWI and now WWII, who gave their lives in service to their country.

Both he and the Victoria County Veterans Council are to be highly commended for their unselfish and patriotic devotion to the cause of making sure the sacrifices of these men will not be forgotten.
