Editor, the Advocate:

There are two school elections on May 10. We read and hear a lot about the Victoria Independent School District election, but Victoria College is also holding an election.

Victoria College seldom makes headlines.

What it does do is quietly work to provide quality academics, vocational and continuing education courses for students in our area. Victoria College works hard to keep its tuition and taxes at affordable rates and has for as long as I can remember.

Ron Walker has been on the board since 1985 and is running again this year.

If you live in the county, you can vote for him. With what Victoria College has done and is doing for our community, I think you should vote for him.

Keep Victoria College doing what it has done so well for many years – work for all of us. Vote for Ron Walker.
