Monster truck show comes to Victoria Community Center

The sound of metal crushing and cars being squashed will be heard and seen at the Victoria Community Center this weekend.

The "Outlaw Monster Truck Spectacular" will be in Victoria for the first time from Friday to Sunday.

"Victoria is the perfect place for a monster truck show," Steve Quercio, promoter, said. "There has never been a show like ours here."

About 20 trucks will be at the show, he said. There will also be five monster trucks, 10 to 12 mud boggers, eight tuff trucks, and some quad racers.

"The show is going to be jammed pack with excitement and fun for the entire family," Quercio said.

The show has also opened its doors to local mud boggers, "tuff" trucks and quad racers.

A tack with humps, bumps and jumps will be setup for locals to enjoy.

Those wanting to participate will need to check in at 6 p.m. at the pit gate each night.

"If the event is a hit, we will make it an annual show," Quercio said.

Tickets will be sold in advance and at the gate on the night of the show.

The first 500 children will receive a free monster truck toy.

Those who arrive early will have the opportunity to ride in a monster truck.

The gates open at 6 p.m.

Advance and VIP tickets receive a free pizza dinner.
