WACO - The Memorial Vipers took third place in the M.T. Rice Waco Midway Tournament with a 53-27 win over Class 3A Lorena on Wednesday.

Jordan Hobbs and Dante McGee led the Vipers with 16 points each, while Marcus Salazar contributed eight.

Memorial (15-5) led 20-12 at halftime and cruised to its third win in the Waco Midway tourney.

Nathan Pollard led Lorena with nine points, while Chase Smith hit two 3-pointers and finished with eight.

The Vipers return to District 27-5A play on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at San Antonio South San.
