Q: Is it too late to register for Summer classes?

A: No, you still have time to attend The Victoria College this summer. Registration for summer session II will be held Wednesday, July 2 from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Thursday, July 3 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Registration for senior citizens will be held July 3 from 8-9 a.m. Web registration is available now through July 3 for those who qualify. Classes will begin July 7. Early registration for the fall semester begins August 4.

Q: I noticed that The Victoria College has an online poll on the Web site. How do you decide on the questions?

A: Yes, we have added a new feature to our Web site with an online poll. We try to pick questions that are relevant to current events and issues. For example, we recently asked, “What is your favorite social networking site?” Of the 248 Web site users that voted, 124 said MySpace is their favorite social network (50 percent), 34 said their favorite is Facebook (13.7 percent), 11 said they like YouTube the best (4.4 percent), 2 chose Classmates.com (0.8 percent), 2 chose LinkedIn (0.8 percent), and 75 said “I’m not into that sort of thing” (30.2 percent). This week our question is “How do you prefer to receive information about college events?” You can vote at www.victoriacollege.edu.
