Lightning was the cause of power outages for many customers in Victoria this afternoon.
Sixty-three customers in the Castle Hills subdivision and 27 others around Victoria lost power because of lightning strikes from the afternoon storm, Elgin Jensen with American Electric Power said.
There were no reports of damage or failed equipment, only line fuses being blown. The company had to replace all the blown fuses before the power could be restored, he said.
Jensen reported later that power was restored at about 5 p.m.
