This picture, on the front page, of these horses: I can’t believe the people of Yorktown would let this happen. I know too many people who are good in Yorktown, and they are letting this happen to these poor horses. Come on people.

My comment is that I think blogging sort of hurts the news.

I would like to comment on the pictures of the deceased illegals who were in the paper. I cannot believe that those pictures were posted. I cried so much just seeing that, I just think it is sad. I have a 5-year-old son, too, and it hit me hard. I don’t think that you all should have done that. Just have some respect for those people.

I think that the schools’ names could be Victoria Stroman Senior High and Victoria B. F. Erskin Senior High but no more banners with Stroman Texas emphasizing the Victoria Independent School District.

I think that raising the water rates would be detrimental to senior citizens who actually need a discount on water.

Those people who are on fixed incomes are not able to survive.

I do not think that the water rates should be raised at all. They are already way too high, especially for me, and I am the only one in my household. I can’t imagine what they would be for a normal-sized family. I think that they should be lowered, not raised.

Would somebody please send me a new American dictionary. It does not have b-l-o-g-s in mine. Are you saying logs or bogs or hogs or what?

Illegal immigration affects me in the fact that they come up here and take jobs from us off of ranches. They work for cheaper, even if the big ranches want to give them a house to live in and maybe buy groceries. They pay them less, but they think that they are saving money, then they want to pay us the same amount of money that they are paying them. They are costing me.

This is exactly the reason why after 20 years we are not subscribing anymore — because of the front page news today, on Sunday. Will you all ever let that story go? Those people are gone. Let them rest.

This illegal immigration does not affect me. I am waiting for a black or white guy to do what these guys do. Until I see that, then I will say it doesn’t affect my people because it doesn’t take any job from anybody. They do the jobs that nobody else wants to do.

Joe

It doesn’t affect me at all. All they want to do is work, something our own people don’t want to do. So leave them alone.

I believe that illegal immigration not only affects me but the whole country. They come in here, and we pay their doctor bills, and we pay teachers to teach English as a second language. They should at least speak English.

Gay

The illegal immigration doesn’t affect me.

I think it is ridiculous that you say it affects you. Those people didn’t do anything to hurt anybody. They didn’t blow up buildings or anything to hurt us. All they are doing is trying to provide for their families.
