VICTORIA – Hector Garcia, 40, from Sugar Land, by officers Saturday on a warrant charging him with theft of property between $20,000 and $100,000.

VICTORIA – Enrique Martinez, 20, from Victoria, by police Saturday on a warrant charging him with burglary of a habitation.

VICTORIA – A 30-year-old man of unknown residence by police Saturday on suspicion of attempted murder and intoxication. He is accused of being intoxicated with alcohol, instigating a fight and then stabbing someone several times on the 1700 block of Port Lavaca Highway.

PALACIOS – A 20-foot sailboat capsized with six people onboard Saturday. According to the United States Coast Guard, all were wearing personal flotation devices. Four of them swam safely to an offshore platform while the other two were carried away by the current. These two were picked up by the Coast Guard and taken to Palacios Community Medical Center with no injuries reported. The platform is five miles off shore and 25 miles northeast of Port O’Connor.
