SAN MARCOS - James French of China Spring won the Overall Award at the 2008 Lone Star Kicking Challenge on Sunday.

French won bronze in field goal and silver in punting in addition to his overall gold.

El Campo’s Chase Bullard finished ninth in the snapping competition.

Overall winners included, Northland Christian’s Kyle Serres in kickoff, Cedar Hill’s Eduardo Camara in field goal, Lewisville’s Will Atterberry in punting and New Braunfels Canyon’s Mark Voosen in snapping.

Some 158 players competed.
