SEGUIN - Hallettsville survived elimination Sunday in the Texas East State 9- and 10-year girls softball tournament.

Courtney Caraway struck out nine and allowed one hit as Hallettsville beat Huffman 8-4. Camille Grahmann was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Kori Landman 2-for-3 with three runs.

Hallettsville fell 11-10 to La Grange on Saturday.

Hallettsville will face the La Grange-Lumberton loser today at 7 p.m.
