BEEVILLE – Incoming freshman attended the recent Cougar Camp 2008, a three-day, overnight campus event. Participants stayed in the dorms in Beeville and took part in orientation activities that included seminars, parties and sports tournaments.

Students got to meet faculty and staff and tour the Beeville campus. They were able to register early for fall classes and many registered for Summer II classes.

Contests and drawings were throughout the three days. Contest winners were Emily Bade of Bishop, two tickets to a Hooks game; Drew Sellers of Pearland, $50 textbook scholarship; Jimmy Brown of Orange Grove, Cougar Camp VIP parking space; Claudia Chapa of George West, dorm scholarship; Bettie Dunn of Beeville, dorm scholarship; and Ross Castro of Alice, $500 tuition scholarship.
