A: I think it’s good. It will give them a reality check of the working world. You can’t even work at Wal-Mart without passing a drug test.

George Donoso, software architect, Austin

A: It’s a good idea. Right after they exit high school they are subject to all kinds of screenings.

Rose Calderon, retired, Yoakum

A: I think it’s a good thing. If you can spot a drug problem early, then you get that person help sooner. I wouldn’t be against a program for students.

Kenny Korenek, transportation, Wallace

A: I feel like it would be better, trying to keep kids off the drugs, which could affect their schooling. A lot of kids start getting into stuff at that age.

Ruru Pompa, truck driver, Victoria
