AUSTIN - Victoria’s Maddie Buhler carded a final round 80 Tuesday to finish second in the girls 12-14 age division at the Southern Texas PGA Junior Tour event at Greyrock Golf Club.

Buhler shot an 87 Monday and finished at 167, 13 shots behind winner Lindsey McCurdy (76-78-154) of Kyle.

Weimar’s Trey Davila tied for fifth in the boys 12-13 division with a 77-83-160 and Yorktown’s Robert Knobles tied for 15th in th eboys 16-18 division with an 84-86-170.

Davis in second place

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Victoria’s Sarah Beth Davis carded a 1-over 73 and was in second place, one stroke out of the lead, after the first round of the American Junior Golf Association’s Arkansas Junior at Blessing.

Davis recorded two birdies and three bogeys on the par-72 Blessing Golf Course and was a shot behind Julie Yang of Phoenix, Ariz.

Davis went out in 37 and came in at 36 and is two shots ahead of Haley Sanders of Rogers, Ark.
