NIXON – Two men were arrested early Monday morning in connection with a possible shooting incident in the Gonzales County town of about 2,000 residents.

Abel Hank Martinez of Stockdale and John Bradley Lambecht of Nixon are both in the Gonzales County jail charged with deadly conduct discharging a firearm. Ages of the men were unavailable.

“It appears there was an altercation between a couple of individuals. We were told shots were fired,” Gonzales County Sheriff Glen Sachtleben said.

Deputy Lt. Julia Guardiola is continuing the investigation, and additional details were not available.
