The Victoria Art League is adding a Children’s Discovery Class for students in first through seventh grades from Aug. 4 to 8, according to a league news release.

Students will learn about elements of art and work with mediums including clay, paper, painting, and drawing under the instruction of three professional artists from Victoria.

Students are encouraged to register early, as space is limited. Grades first through third will meet from 9 a.m. to noon, and grades fourth through seventh will meet from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuition is $80 plus a $15 materials fee.

All classes will be at the Victoria Art League Community Art Center, 905 S. Bridge St.

To enroll, students may mail a $20 deposit to the Victoria Art League, P.O. Box 5011, Victoria, Texas 77903. Students can also stop by the Art League during gallery hours, noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
