Editor, the Advocate:
Everyone asked me why I haven’t written another letter. I told them I wanted to wait after the council meeting because I told them what was going to happen at the meeting, and it did. It is called intimidation. It is called politics. Have you ever seen a politician look you in the eye and tell you the truth?
Well next month we will be getting rid of one of our troublemakers. As this sweet, elderly lady told me, the City of Cuero has always been a Peyton Place. Some of the people in authority couldn’t manage a lemonade stand. There shouldn’t be any politics in city government. They all should work together for the betterment of the city. In Cuero, it is the East and the West, and I don’t care who I make mad; the truth is the truth.
There are some people in city government who think they are someone special, but, when they leave this world and go to where they are going, they think they are going to get special treatment. Everyone gets the same treatment, so get used to it now.
The city manager is very disgruntled with people who do their job and who don’t have to be told how to do it.
Quote from another employee: You two guys have to understand you work for the city of Cuero, the less you do the more money you make. Look at me. God is my witness. Who is the city’s witness?
I found out why she won’t give me my longevity pay and my 10-year pin; she doesn’t like me. Like who cares. The feeling’s mutual.
