VANDERBILT – Two Industrial school district board members were unseated after Chad Williams and Van Smith cinched the win during Saturday’s elections.
Williams received 141 votes, while Smith came out with 128.
Other candidates included the two incumbents - Pat Stuart with 105 votes and Garland Sandhop Sr. with 100 - and Bobby Gendke Jr., who received 90 votes.
Sandhop, a CPA, had served on the board for 42 years, said Olivia Mixon, the school district’s business administrator. And in all that time, she said, he missed only one meeting.
