Trial to begin next week in temple vandalism case

Jury selection starts Monday in the trial of man accused of vandalizing Victoria’s only Jewish temple.

Joshua Paul Muniz, 20, is accused of painting swastikas and anti-Semitic graffiti on Temple B’Nai Israel on June 14.

Muniz is scheduled to stand trial next week.

Muniz was arrested on July 24. A Crime Stoppers tip led police to interview Muniz, and to his eventual arrest. Muniz admitted to painting two swastikas on the temple.

Nathan Burr Bowers, then 19, and a 16-year-old boy were also arrested in July as suspects in the vandalism.

In January, District Judge Robert Cheshire found there was enough evidence that Muniz vandalized the temple to revoke probation for a 2006 robbery conviction.

Jury selection starts 9 a.m. Monday in Cheshire’s courtroom.

    Simple... Try this one on for size..We spend alot of time in Houston and my 16 year old attends Rice U. and when she comes out of class of coarse we all know how Diverse Houston Texas is..Well, you will see Asian, Saudi and India Teenage Student comeout of class throwing West and East side finger signals to one another and..get this ..they walk and dress like the way Black boys do ..showing the long NIKE basketball shorts and long t-shirts and with a sweat band on their heads and dreadlocks... Its cute to watch because they climb into their moms cars a ...Beamer..

    Wow, an hispanic spray-painting swastikas on a jewish temple, if that's not calling the kettle black.
    I have to laugh. In this day when we have white kids who deliberately act black and a white senator who deliberately acts white......here comes an hispanic that thinks he's a klansman.....beam me up scotty
