THUMBS UP

Thumbs Up to all Howell Middle School Choir, soloists, dancers, dreamers, and leaders for their presentation of “Choices Count!” And a thumbs up to the performers who were excited about the content of the program “Choices Count!” which encouraged character-based principles to enable young people to succeed at life. Six pillars of character: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship.

This Democrat gives thumbs up to the Republicans for avoiding backbiting and nuclear trash-talk within the party. I opine that it’s no way to run a household or a country.

THUMBS DOWN

Thumbs down to individuals who dispose of creosote posts, pieces of broken furniture, boards with nails, plastic bags, plastic bottles, vehicle tire, synthetic rope and other assorted trash at the airport brush pile site. The brush pile is for disposing of clean, uncontaminated, organic, waste material, material that can safely be run through a wood chipper and will decompose back into the soil. Let’s help the city/county keep the brush pile free of trash.
