YOAKUM - General aviation airports in Victoria, Cuero, Gonzales, Hallettsville and Yoakum will be the topics of discussion from 9 - 11 a.m. Wednesday during a regional meeting hosted by the Texas Department of Transportation.

The meeting, at the Yoakum District Office training annex, 403 Huck St., is a regional planning meeting to review and update information on airports in the Texas system.

During the meeting, residents will have an opportunity to discuss airport needs. Economic activity for the airports will also be discussed, focusing specifically on the need for airport improvements.

The meeting is an opportunity to provide essential input for airport planning and promotes an exchange of ideas and information with neighboring airport sponsors, highway department representatives, elected officials and interested members of the public, according to a TxDOT news release.
