Editor, the Advocate:

I don't know where to start. Let’s see, I'm just writing to give a very special thanks to my two sons, Marcus Resendez, 12 years old, and Louis Resendez II, 13 years old. On Sunday, May 18, they saved the life of my father (their grandfather), Jose Garcia, who is a diabetic with other severe complications. He was home alone watching my kids when he started having a seizure. Louis (who we call Jay) quickly dialed 911 and did exactly what he was told to do by the dispatcher. Marcus quickly got all the medications to show the EMTs. They deserve a little recognition. Also, I'd like the thank Jennifer Daily with the Victoria Fire Department for comforting my kids and my family. Thanks Dr. Afridi for being quick and seeing my father. I have learned that life is too short to take things for granted. My children are very close to my father and only did what was taught to them. I am blessed to know that my boys are true heroes.
