Editor, the Advocate:

I have been affiliated with the Advocate as an employee and then as a newspaper carrier for 22 years. On Tuesday, May 20, the day I buried my grandson, there was not an obituary, only a story that read cause of death unknown. The media has not been kind to our family during this unbelievable time, so if a story is what they want, here it is. My grandson was surrounded by four people who loved him on the day he passed away, and we just thought he was asleep. End of story. As for the official report I’m sure you will know, as soon as we do if not before, what happened to our precious baby boy. We would like to thank all our family, friends and coworkers for their cards, flowers, gifts and prayers. Thank you to pastors Ruben and Rosie Trevino, pastors Roy and Linda Martinez and the members of Victory Christian. Special thanks to the Circulation Department for delivering our routes and our deepest appreciation to Rosewood Funeral for taking care of everything.
