Editor, the Advocate:
It takes a great deal of courage to stand against a preponderance of descent. President Bush is to be congratulated on taking a stand against the Congress on farm subsidies.
Government subsidies, which is a way in which money is taken from the many to give to the few, is, to be blunt a form of theft. Take Robin Hood for example. He is praised for having stolen money from the rich to give to the poor.
But, the horrible truth is, no matter how noble his reason for stealing from the rich, Robin Hood was a thief, is a thief and will always be a thief. He and his merry men cohorts were a gang. And anyone aware of anything today knows about gangs and gang theft and mayhem.
If you are an individual wanting to do something courageous, vote for those candidates who do not want to steal from you. When you hear the donkey gang playing the "tax the rich" card, remember Robin Hood was, is and will always be a thief.
