Editor, the Advocate:

I sincerely thank the voters for their overwhelming support in my re-election to the VISD Board of Trustees and for your trust in our board as we continue to make improvements in VISD. Progress is being made through quality leadership and the involvement of our dedicated faculty, staff, parents and community.

I feel that I am part of a successful board, whose members demonstrate professional behavior and respect for each other’s views. Mrs. Keeling, representing District 5, is an accomplished board member, who exhibits an unbiased concern for all children, a professional attitude, and commitment to making informed decisions. Mrs. Keeling raised her hand in the 7-0 vote to hire Mr. Moore as superintendent. Mrs Keeling approved in the 7-0 vote the bond for new schools and campus renovations. Mrs. Keeling has demanded the effectiveness and accountability in managing discipline in our schools and for securing teacher pay raises, also 7-0.

Mrs. Keeling is a positive influence in the progress of our school district. Her experience and values that she brings are essential as we open new schools and shape the future of our community. I ask for your support for Tami Keeling for VISD trustee, District 5.
