On the question of sexual relationships between teachers and students: Yes they are becoming more common. Either that, or us old people didn’t know what was going on around us.

Shame on the teacher, shame, shame, shame. Because she is in the position of authority, she is the one who knows better.

It should be shame on her and not shame on him. She could have waited a couple of years until he graduated.

You should ask the readers who they think John McCain’s vice-presidential candidate will be.

Hurrah, proper justice from the judicial system of Texas with the verdict of the court of appeals. Being the the so-called polygamist kids were unjustly separated from their parents, regardless of the number of the children or the parents. A great Democratic principal was upheld. Some freedom of religion practices may seem strange, but they are freedoms. Congratulations to a courageous court of appeals.

I don’t think the city manager needs a 6-percent pay raise.

I think he is overpaid enough, just like the mayor is.

If he is not happy with what he is getting paid, then I’m sure that we have 20 applicants who would be happy to take over his position for that salary.

I’m just calling to say that I think that the relationships between the teachers and the students is just now coming to light because we made fun of the teachers that were dating the football boys back when I was in high school 28 years ago. So, I think you all are just now noticing it. It has always gone on for a long, long time, and it is just now being brought to light.
