The Memorial Day schedule for governmental offices and other services in the Victoria area includes:

GARBAGE SCHEDULE

Residential garbage will be collected.

The landfill near Bloomington will be closed.

The recycling center is closed on Mondays.

TEXAS ZOO

The zoo will be open regular business hours.

City Pool

The Gary T. Moses Municipal Swimming Pool will be open today and Sunday and May 31 and June 1. The grand opening is June 6. Pool hours are from noon to 6 p.m. daily.

CITY, COUNTY AND STATE OFFICES

All city, county and state offices will be closed.

All emergency services which will continue to operate through the holiday. Victoria Transit Fixed and Flex Routes will be open.

MUSEUMS

All museums are closed on Mondays.

LIBRARIES

The Victoria Public Library and The Victoria College/University of Houston-Victoria Library will be closed.

U.S. POSTAL SERVICE

The post offices will be closed. There will be express mail delivery only.

FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS

1st. Convenience, and the IBC branch located in H-E-B Plus will be open; all other banks will be closed.

SCHOOLS

All school will be closed.

VICTORIA ADVOCATE

All departments will be closed. You may reach a customer service representative by calling 361-574-1200 between 6-10 a.m. Obituary department will be open until noon Monday, all obits are due by noon. The newsroom will have staff available after 2 p.m.
