Shane Carroll May recently was hired as Web projects manager in the Information Technology department of the University of Houston-Victoria. May assists in maintaining the UHV Web site and managing ongoing Web-based projects. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a master’s degree in mathematics and computer science, both from UHV. He is working on a second master’s degree in computer information systems.

Melinda Pierce R.N., C.B.P. has received her Module 9 certification from the International BodyTalk Association. BodyTalk is an alternative healing system, that is currently taught in more than 30 countries.

Toni Fletcher, agency manager at Greg Haynes Allstate Insurance Co., has completed the Certified Insurance Counselor-Commercial Property Institute from The National Alliance. Topics covered were in-depth commercial property insurance coverage, commercial auto policies, inland marine policies and other policies related to commercial insurance property.

Rosie Reyes is the first associate to receive the “Diamond” level of achievement with JC Penney and JC Penney Salon. She has been an associate since 1994.

Robin Cadle was hired recently as the director of stewardship and planned giving at the University of Houston-Victoria. Cadle will manage the donor relations program and planned giving at the university. She has worked for UHV since 2001 and in the advancement office since 2005. She has a master’s of business administration from UHV and is a candidate for her master’s of education degree in the fall.

Nancy Penry was hired recently as the training and continuing education coordinator at the University of Houston-Victoria. She will coordinate training and continuing education for university employees at the Victoria, Sugar Land and Cinco Ranch campuses. She holds a doctorate degree in organizational communication and adult education from the University of Texas at Austin.
