Editor, the Advocate:

While there are a few votes I have subsequently regretted over the years, the one for Steve Tyler stands out as the worst mistake I have ever made in a voting booth. This vindictive egomaniac will not be satisfied until he has destroyed law enforcement in the city and county, not to mention holding Victoria, city and county, up to public ridicule.

My best wishes to those involved in the attempt to have him recalled; it cannot happen soon enough.

  • Hmmm... something just struck me that didn't when I first perused Sec. 87....

Under 87.011(2)(c): unfitness or inability to promptly and properly discharge official duties because of a serious physical or mental defect **that did not exist at the time of the officer's election.** [emphasis mine]

So would that mean if he was crazy already BEFORE getting elected that wouldn't be a cause of action for his removal??

    Ouch....

  • We have been hearing about the so-called tin for over six months, and where are their petitions?

Funny how Tyler is a psycho witch hunter, but the same could be said of his attackers. Perhaps they are too much alike.

  • That last item is what is wrong. So if you have some proof that the DA had a beer after work you can have him tossed.....that is WRONG WRONG WRONG. So if he can prove that YOU had a beer after work he can the null out your petition?

  • Those who are seeking to recall Steven Tyler shouldn't be engaging in such a waste of taxpayer resources until after this all blows over. Although, there may be some merit in saying that the man could be pompous, arrogant & vindictive that still doesn't mean he's done anything illegal and that would be the only grounds that those filing this current petition would have to remove him from office. Let's just let all this go to trial before an impartial jury before casting judgement in the media. One thing is certain, when the smoke clears, someone is going to be vindicated.
