A: I think everyone’s apparently corrupt here. It would make me think twice about moving to Victoria.

Juan Cobos, operator at Formosa plant, Port Lavaca

A: A lot of people are saying it’s political for the district attorney. It’s my belief that no matter who they are, there shouldn’t be any problem indicting them like anyone else. I’ve been on a grand jury. If the evidence wasn’t there, they wouldn’t be indicted.

Lilly Beard, housewife, Victoria

A: I think there’s possibly something going on here. There’s a connection. It’s too coincidental.

Eddie Rudd, adult daycare worker, Victoria

A: If they’d stay honest, they wouldn’t have to worry about it.

Michelle Gibbons, registered nurse, Thomaston

  • Ure was fired by Webster, then changed employers about every year since then; and the powers that be knew that - it is possible that Ure was hired to be a scape goat but they had not counted on Aggie Tyler being such a loose cannon.
