Victoria County’s Austen Oeltjen, Brazoria County’s Zach Charbula and Calhoun County’s Dylan Sassman won their respective divisions at a recent state sanctioned whizzbang shoot hosted by the Calhoun County 4-H Shotgun Shooting Sports Club at the Calhoun County Fairgrounds.Some 63 shooters took part in the event with Oeltjen winning the junior trap division, while Charbula was the overall high-pointer in the intermediate division. Sassman won high-point honors in the Senior I division. Chris Waters of Goliad county was the lone participant in the Senior II division.
Landry Hayes of Calhoun County placed second in trap and skeet in the junior division, while Colton Hahn of Calhoun County won skeet and was second in five-stand in the intermediate division.
Cody Park of Goliad county was second in trap in intermediates.
Brandon McDow of Goliad County to second in trap and Matthew Hahn of Calhoun County was third in the senior ! division.
