Editor, the Advocate:

Tami Keeling is the superior choice for the school board and I urge you to vote for her.

While both candidates seem to want to be on the school board, Tami is on the school board and she is doing a great job. She has the time and passion to devote to being an active board member. She is focused on ways to improve the quality of our schools for our students while also thinking of community needs.

Keeling’s opponent hasn’t prepared himself to step in and continue the progress that the school board is finally making. We need the school board to keep following the path Bob Moore has charted with the school board’s guidance. The transition to two high schools will be an exciting challenge. A united board will be an asset during that time.

It’s true that our students need to be educated in the classrooms and disciplined at home. If you are reading this letter, it’s because of what you learned in school from a dedicated teacher. Academics are the key to a bright future for our students.

I urge you to keep Tami Keeling on the school board and let her opponent keep “delivering for us” in the delivery room.
