Editor, the Advocate:
On behalf of the fourth- and fifth-graders at Nursery Elementary, we would like to express our appreciation to the Victoria Symphony and their education director, Debbie Durham.
Durham brought the symphony's "petting zoo" to our school last Friday. The students were given numerous opportunities to experiment with instruments used in a symphony. We feel sure that we have many future musicians in our midst.
We also thank our parent volunteers: Barbi Bridges, Rone Green, Vicki Means, Samantha Muschalek and Kristie Sievers. The Nursery parents and PTO are tremendously supportive of our school. We are very fortunate to be a part of the Nursery "family."
An additional thanks goes to Victoria Advocate reporter Rubi Reyes for joining us during Durham's lesson.
Thanks again to Durham and the Victoria Symphony for this wonderful experience.
