Refugio coasts to easy 42-7 win

SKIDMORE - The No. 1-ranked Refugio Bobcats scored 42 first-quarter points and coasted to a 42-7 win over Skidmore-Tynan.

Kyle Hendley put the Bobcats (9-0, 4-0) up for good hitting Jourdan Ortiz on a 6-yard scoring strike and Irvin Fox on a 5 yarder to open the scoring.

Brian Ramirez then brought in a 14-yard TD reception from Aaron Perez for a 21-0 first-quarter lead.

Hendley, who threw for 152 yards on 12 of 14 passing, hit Cory Brown on a 10-yard strike early in the second quarter.

Bryan Castellano added a 16-yard run and Charlie Henderson a 2 yarder to wrap up Refugio's scoring.

Eric Martinez kicked all six extra points.

Skidmore-Tynan found the end zone with 9:20 to play as Adam Perez scored on a 5-yard run.
